Industrial Property / Competion / Copyright Law

Intellectual property law is the field with which we are especially familiar. Our translation experience covers all aspects of law related to industrial and intellectual property rights. This includes copyright law, patent law, trademark and design patent law as well as competition law.

As an area of law with a strong international element and an ever growing significance, IP law cases often require foreign language translations – usually into or from English. Hence, IP law presents a comparatively attractive opportunity for specialisation. A large part of our competency in this field is the result of practical experience. In addition, we also regularly attended specific courses at the Humboldt University. These have so far included Intellectual Property (Prof. Dr. Bodewig), Copyright Law (Prof. Dr. Wandtke) and Unfair Competition Law (Prof. Dr. Jan Bernd Nordemann).

The many various topics we regularly cover in our work include licensing, trademark applications, combating piracy and other court disputes on competition law, trademark law and copyright law. In addition, our clients have entrusted the translation of websites, newsletters and press releases to us as well as the correction of written communications.

Our translators possess extensive experience in the translation of every type of text related to the protection and assertion of intellectual property rights.
